Default Windows Clock Problem

Hello,

I have a Dell Laptop, running Windows Vista. A few weeks ago, my laptop ran out of battery and didn't shut down properly. The next morning I was able to restart it, but the clock was wrong. I've reset it several times, even synching it with Internet time, but it never stays right. It'll be fine for a while, but then it will slow down and eventually stall. The date is wrong too. It's always two or three days (or more) off.

Any suggestions?

Default Windows Vista Clock

DJ,

I did some research and it seems that there are a variety of potential problems that could be causing your computer's clock to lose time. To get a better handle on it, we would need some more information.
  • Have you adjusted/set your time zone?
  • How long does the clock stay on the correct time?
  • Have you synced the clock with Internet time?

These are some of the more common issues that can cause a Windows Vista clock to be running behind. I would start by examining those issues and see if any of them fix the problem.

If not, you can contact RESCUECOM Remote Computer Support if you'd like further assistance.

Thanks for the tips. It's still not working, but I've got other clocks. I'll keep fiddling with it and maybe I'll get it right eventually.
