Default 64 Bit Winodws 7 Gaining in Popularity

Last week, Microsoft revealed that 46% of all computers running Windows 7 are running the 64 bit version. This is a significant increase over Windows Vista.

the 64 bit version of the less than one year old OS allows users to utilize more RAM, making computers and applications run faster and smoother.

Microsoft expects the 64 bit numbers to continue to rise.
