One of the most common problems sweeping the Internet is the rogue security software AV virus. RESCUECOM's customer service department says that it's the most reference customer problem so far this summer.
While the AV virus, and numerous other malware and virus infections can be especially difficult to remove, one simple tip that might help is a system restore. A system restore point allows you to restore your computer to a past configuration - one before the virus infected your system. The key for a system restore is to make sure it is turned on. Unless this function is turned on, Windows will not form a restore point and you will not be able to restore your previous configuration. System Restore can be found under All Programs < Accessories < System Tools.
