Default Cables are a Common Problem

It seems too easy. You're having network difficulties and the first thing you check is the cables, right? You make sure everything is still linked together.

Sometimes though, it's not a problem of the cables not being linked. Cables can short, causing the signal they transfer to be sent to the wrong place.

Using cable testers can check for shorts in the cable or for interference that might be disrupting the signal.
